Ford is gearing up for the launch of the new 2015 Figo siblings. The success of these vehicles will depend largely on how Ford decides to price them.

2015 Ford Figo Spotted Testing
The Figo Aspire will be launched in June while the hatchback will follow later

The new Ford Figo sedan was first unveiled at the 2014 Auto Expo as a concept. Ford later started the development process of the new Figo and finally after months of spotting test mules, the American auto giant revealed the first production version of the Figo Aspire, i.e. the compact sedan at an event held at the company’s new production facility in Sanand, Gujarat. The new Figo siblings have been spotted again and this time they carry no camouflage at all, let’s focus more on the hatchback and its details.

The 2015 Ford Figo hatchback will share its front face with the Figo Aspire sedan. The design looks very European and a step above the quirky looking outgoing Figo. The interiors have been derived from the Euro-spec Fiesta and Mondeo and the new Figo is going to be loaded with a lot of features. The test mule comes in a bright yellow shade and we guess Ford will offer other lively shades with the vehicle too. The petrol engine will be a 1.2-litre unit while the oil-burner will be a 1.5-litre unit that already powers the Fiesta and EcoSport.

The Ford Figo Aspire will be launched in July while the hatchback will be launched in September. The new Figo will be positioned as a proper premium hatchback and hence it will be slotted against the Maruti Swift, Hyundai Elite i20, Volkswagen Polo and Fiat Punto Evo. Ford tasted success with the EcoSport thanks to its pricing but the Fiesta turned out to be a dud. It will be interesting to see how Ford prices the new Figo siblings and whether they become top-sellers or not.
