Honda has added a new fully loaded variant, VX (O) to the City lineup that has got a new touchscreen audio system. The company has also introduced a new white shade for the popular sedan.
Honda India has introduced a new range topping variant VX (O) for the Honda City, priced from Rs. 10.64 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi). It now gets a 15.7 cm touchscreen audio system, which they like to call Advanced Integrated Touchscreen Audio Visual Navigation (AVN). The new system gets satellite based voice guided turn-by-turn Navigation and DVD/CD Playback, Bluetooth, USB, AUX, iPod, MP3, rear camera display with guidelines. The Smartphone connectivity lets you store your phonebook and stream music directly.
The already well kitted Honda City now gets a more appealing package. Along with the AVN, Honda has introduced a new colour for the entire City lineup, White Orchid Pearl. Also, the City will now get security alarm feature with keyless entry from S grade onwards. So the fourth generation Honda City gives you six different colour options to choose from and a whopping 14 variants on offer. Being the segment leader by a great margin, the City recently crossed the 1 lakh sales mark within 15 months of launch.
The Honda City is available with a 1.5-litre i-VTEC petrol motor that churns out 119 PS with 145 Nm torque and 1.5-litre i-DTEC diesel engine that produces 100 PS with 200 Nm of torque. The petrol engine returns a claimed 17.8 km/l with the manual transmission and 18 km/l with CVT. The diesel engine returns 26 km/l with its 6-speed manual transmission. The price difference between VX and VX (O) variant is Rs. 30,000/- for both diesel and petrol models.
