The Drive-On cavalcade in Delhi saw over 100 Datsun owners participate while the company will also celebrate the first anniversary with underprivileged children at 100 locations across India.
Completing its first year in the Indian market, Datsun India organized a ‘Drive-On’ cavalcade which saw over 100 Datsun owners participate to celebrate the brand’s first anniversary in the country. Having launched the GO hatchback and GO+ compact wagon in the past year, the convoy was flagged off by brand ambassador Ayushmann Khurrana along with Guillaume Sicard, President, Nissan India Operations in the nation’s capital.
Celebrating the first year since the Datsun GO went on sale in India, the automaker will be conducting the Drive-On celebratory drive across seven cities in the country including Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai, Kolkata, Cochin, Ahmedabad and Guwahati. Keeping up with the celebrations, the brand also announced that it will be celebrating the occasion with underprivileged children at 100 locations across India.
An extremely versatile year for the brand with its share of positives and negatives, Nissan stated that the Datsun brand was conceived with the idea of “mobility for all” which was kick started with the GO hatchback in early April last year. At present, the company is operating out of 176 Nissan-Datsun dealerships and 21 standalone outlets across the country and will continue to expand its presence further. Joining the GO and GO+ models next year will be the Redi-GO hatchback that was showcased as a concept at the 2014 Auto Expo.
