The updates on the 2015 KTM Duke 200 will be similar to that of the Duke 390 but it won’t get a slipper clutch which is now standard on the Duke 390.

Having updated the Duke 390 for 2015 with a slipper clutch and a slew of upgrades, our sources tell us that KTM will also be updating the Duke 200 this year with a minor set of changes. On the lines of the new Duke 390, KTM has tried to resolve smaller niggles seen on the Duke series in a bid to make the bike easier to live with. It is likely that the manufacturer will not be revising prices for the updated model.
While we await the official confirmation on the list of changes from KTM, updates to the 2015 Duke 200 are likely to include revised front and rear fender with better structural material, sealed indicators to avoid water seepage, dust cover for the rear shock absorber, wider mud cover from the RC 200 and changed belly pan mounts. You also get new sealed bearings to avoid oil leakage, new collar sprocket, better heat dissipation and most likely a longer service interval than the one seen on the outgoing model along with a host of other smaller changes.
Launched in India in 2012, this is the first comprehensive update provided to the KTM Duke 200. The changes come at the right time when competition from Benelli, Hyosung and other bike makers will be making this segment a lot more exciting. Powertrain continues to remain the same 199.5cc engine producing 25 HP of power and 19.2 Nm of torque, paired to a 6-speed gearbox. More details on the updated Duke 200 will be revealed in the following weeks. An official announcement from the company is expected soon.
