The new Range Rover Evoque facelift comes with subtle updates and a new 2.0-litre Ingenium diesel engine that produces 180 BHP and returns a claimed mileage of 29 km/l.
Land Rover has announced the new facelifted version of the Range Rover Evoque for the 2016 model year, which is all set to make its public debut at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show. There are mild cosmetic changes on the exteriors and a few updates on the inside but the most significant change is the new Ingenium diesel engine. The front changes include new muscular bumper, full LED headlamps that look very sleek and a new grille. The sci-fi themed alloys add to some drama on the side and similar mild tweaks are done at the rear.
The new Range Rover Evoque comes with an 8-inch touchscreen with swipe function, lane-keep assist, automatic emergency braking and a drowsy driver monitor. The cabin gets updated with a new variety of upholstery colours to choose from. The all-black interior of the Evoque facelift with white stitching looks quite snazzy. Land Rover has also introduced the Gesture Tailgate feature, which helps you open the boot handsfree by waving your foot under the bumper.
The 2.0-litre 240 HP turbo petrol engine remains unchanged on the Evoque but the diesel engine gets replaced with the new Ingenium 2.0-litre 4-cylinder TD4 diesel that will be available in two states of tune – 150 BHP and 180 BHP. Land Rover claims around 29 km/l of fuel efficiency with the new diesel engine and CO2 figures as low as 109 g/km with front-wheel drive and 125 g/km with all-wheel drive versions. Land Rover will commence deliveries of the Evoque facelift from August in the international market. Expect it to reach Indian dealerships by the end of 2015 or early 2016.
