Honda has updated the CR-V with new features including 7-inch infotainment system. The pricing has also been updated for all the variants.
The Honda CR-V has been updated with new features across all variants in the Indian market, which makes it a more appealing package. The 2015 CR-V facelift version is due for launch in India this year but we don’t expect it to launch before the festive season this year. So the updates are a stop-gap arrangement until the new model arrives. The CR-V is offered in three variants in India – 2.0 MT, 2.0 AT and 2.4 AT. While the 2.0 MT comes with only one additional feature, the 2.0 AT and 2.4 AT come with a host of new features.
The entry level 2.0 MT variant of the Honda CR-V now comes with a Tonneau cover, which is a foldable cover for the cargo compartment and comes as standard across all the variants. The 2.0 AT and 2.4 AT now get a new 7-inch touch screen multimedia system that offers Siri voice-recognition system, HDMI video compatibility, Bluetooth Smartphone connectivity and multi-angle display with dynamic guidelines for the rear parking camera. The automatic variants also get chrome finished inside door handles.
The range topping Honda CR-V 2.4 AT variant now gets the Smart Entry system, which is derived from the new Honda City. It has got the similar smart key as the Honda City. The system offers one push engine start/stop button, lock/unlock request buttons on the door handles and keyless lock button on the tailgate. The 2.4 AT also comes with auto-dimming inside rear-view mirror and tail-pipe chrome finisher. Engine options remain unchanged and the pricing has been revised by the carmaker for the updated variants.
