You read it first on MotorBeam. Eider Motors is a new bike manufacturing company based out of Telangana state and the company will be launching its bikes in India in March. The company offers products across various segments and will be introducing scooters, commuter bikes, a higher capacity bike and a cruiser in the market. The scooters have been spotted by MotorBeam reader Julian Bennet.
Eider Leora – The Leora is a basic scooter that comes with a 124.6cc single-cylinder engine. The scooter is designed to provide comfort to the rider. The Leora gets retro styling elements and there is tons of chrome added on the body. The Eider Leora will be priced around Rs. 50,000/- in India.
Eider Etania – The Etania is a 150cc commuter bike that generates 11.5 PS of power and 10.5 Nm of torque. The bike is aimed to provide good acceleration, power delivery and fuel efficiency. The Etania carries some sharp styling elements and honestly the motorcycle does look good. While pricing details are not known, we can expect the Eider Etania to be priced at approximately Rs. 65,000/-.
Eider Stoic – The Stoic is a basic entry-level commuter bike that comes with a 107cc engine churning out 7.6 PS of power and 6.5 Nm of torque. The engine is matched to a 5-speed gearbox. The Eider Stoic looks very basic and its styling seems to have taken inspiration from rivals without doubt. We are expecting it to be priced in the whereabouts of Rs. 50,000/-.
Eider Ruddy – The Ruddy is a 150cc cruiser bike. The styling doesn’t really impress us. It looks like a half-hearted attempt at making the bike look like a cruiser. The single-cylinder engine produces 11.5 PS of power and 10.5 Nm of torque. The Eider Ruddy will cost almost Rs. 75,000/- in India.
Eider Dronzer – The Dronzer is another 150cc bike from the manufacturer and it uses the same engine as the Ruddy and Etania. The company claims that the Dronzer will provide good ride quality and great throttle response. Top speed is rated at 120 km/hr and the overall styling clearly reminds us of the Bajaj Pulsar 200 NS. The Eider Dronzer will cost approximately Rs. 75,000/- in the Indian market.
Eider Visrah – The Visrah is yet another scooter from the Eider Motors’ stable and it shares its engine with the Leora. The 124.6cc engine produces 7.5 PS of power and 7.2 Nm of torque. The styling looks feminine so it might be targeted at them.
We are not yet sure whether people will prefer buying a product from a new company over those which are already established and have a good reputation. Remember Vibgyor motorcycles (more about them HERE), they are were a West Bengal based company who seem to have vanished. Their website isn’t working anymore and no information about them is available, in spite of the Indian manufacturer launching its first bike more than 5 years back at the 2010 Auto Expo.
