The vehicle personalisation options will be initially available for the EcoSport, providing factory fitted accessories without the worry of voiding warranty.
Expanding its customer-centric innovation approach, Ford India has launched the first-of-its-kind ‘Vehicle Personalisation Centre’ in the country that enables customers to customise their vehicles at the factory itself. Currently limited to the EcoSport, the American automaker states that the new centre will offer a host of vehicle personalisation options to customers that will further enhance the value proposition of the compact SUV.
The vehicle personalisation centre is located in the vicinity of the Chennai facility, spread over 35,000 sq. ft. and is equipped with 19 ergonomically designed modification bays operated by Ford’s trained technicians. It is also the first such company operated unit in the Asia Pacific region. With customers looking at vehicles as an extension of their own personalities, customisation options are getting really popular. The vehicle personalisation centre ensures premium quality accessories are added to the vehicle that do not compromise on safety and will not void the warranty either.
At present, Ford Vehicle Personalisation Centre is offering three customisation options on the EcoSport –
1. Spare Wheel (Cover) Pack for all EcoSport variants
2. Alloys Pack offering premium quality alloys and rear spoiler for the Ambiente and Trend trims
3. Sports Pack offering rear spoiler, LED scuff plate, roof cross-bar for the Titanium and Titanium (O) trims
Ford states that personalised accessories will be available at affordable prices. Customers need to simply choose the option pack that suits their needs and place the order with the dealer at the time of purchase. The automaker also stated that the entire process will simplify transactions for company dealers and remove the need for them to stock vehicle accessories. Ford plans to expand its personalisation offerings later this year.
