DC is offering a range of customization options to customers with the first batch of bookings already over, the second batch bookings have begun and deliveries are scheduled for January 2015.
DC’s most ambitious project, the Avanti is finally all set to reach Indian roads as the country’s own home-grown sports car. First showcased at the 2012 Auto Expo, the Avanti has kept everyone waiting including prospective owners and the enthusiast alike. With bookings already commenced across the country with a token amount of Rs. 5 lakhs, the long and extensive accessories has now emerged online providing the complete customisation details on the sports car that can be done up as per your liking.
The accessories list covers an extensive range of options starting from the most affordable personalised car cover priced at Rs. 18,000/-, going up to the interesting custom matte paint job priced at Rs. 3 lakhs. In addition, DC is offering additional accessories including carbon fibre door pads and dashboard set, Alcantara leather upholstered seats plus door trims, multi-information TFT display, custom stitching patterns, upgraded double-din audio system with navigation, Bi-Xenon headlamps, alloy wheel options, sports tune exhaust and carbon engine hood louvers among others. The company is also offering personalised luggage along with the sports car to keep up with the special feel.
DC Design is said to have completed the first round of bookings for the Avanti comprising of 500 units, and has also commenced bookings for the second phase of production. In terms of powertrain, the Avanti uses a 2.0-litre turbocharged EcoBoost petrol engine sourced from Ford that churns out 250 BHP and 366 Nm of torque, paired to a 6-speed manual transmission. With a weight of 1562 kgs, the car comes with a healthy power to weight ratio, and is capable of doing the 0-100 km/hr sprint in under 7 seconds. DC will be commencing deliveries of the Avanti by January 2015 with prices and other details expected to be officially announced around the same time.
