Benelli will commence sales by January 2015, while prices will be announced in December this year. The company is currently setting up its dealerships across the country.

A month after officially announcing its arrival into India, world’s oldest motorcycle maker Benelli will be launching its range (and announcing prices) of five superbikes next month in the country. The sales however will commence in January next year. Owned by the Chinese Qianjiang Group, Benelli has tied up with Indian company DSK Motowheels that also retails products from Hyosung in the country, which will be retailing the Italian bikes and will also take care of the after sales and service.
At present, the five superbikes from Benelli spanning across different segments are under the homologation process at the ARAI, while the company is busy with setting up the first phase of dealerships which include 8 outlets across the country and will be operational by January 2015. The Italian motorcycle maker plans to have a total of 20 exclusive independent dealerships across the country that will be operational by the end of next year. Coming to the much awaited product lineup, the company’s offerings will be competing against the offerings from Yamaha, Honda, Suzuki as well as KTM across different segments.
Benelli’s entry-level bike is confirmed to be the BN 302 twin-cylinder street-fighter motorcycle that will compete against the KTM Duke 390 and the Kawasaki Z250 in the segment. Moving up on the Italian scale, the company will offer the BN 600 GT and BN 600I middle-weight sportbikes. The manufacturer’s flagship range however comprises of the TNT 899 and the TNT 1130R superbikes that offer outright power and the quintessential smouldering Italian looks. Benelli plans to bring its entire range via the CKD route as for now, while the company is also looking at manufacturing certain bikes in the future, with the BN 251 set to be their entry-level offering.
