Scheduled to launch in October, Fiat has commenced the bookings for the Avventura crossover across the country that will be available in a total of 6 colours and 5 variants.
With an aggressive strategy for its Indian operations, Fiat is launching its third product for the year in the form of the Avventura crossover. While the model shares its underpinnings with the Punto hatchback, Fiat has gone two steps ahead to make the new crossover look and drive distinctly different from its sibling. Available with six colours on the palette, here are images of the Fiat Avventura in two spectacular shades namely Bronzo Tan and Exotica Red.
Looking splendid in both the shades, the Avventura gets new bumpers, rugged body cladding, roof rails, revised grille and new alloy wheels to differentiate the model from the Punto. The ground clearance has also increased to 205 mm, which is really SUV space. In addition, the Avventura also gets a number of new features including electric compass and tilt read gauges (on top variants), while the seats gets new fabric upholstery. Fiat has also tuned the suspension for a stiffer set up, to make the crossover capable of handling rough terrain with much ease.
Engine options include the 1.4-litre petrol motor that produces 90 HP of power and 115 Nm of torque that is available in Active and Dynamic variants. Diesel duties on the other hand are performed by the 1.3-litre Multijet motor that produces 93 HP of power and 209 Nm of torque that is available in Active, Dynamic and top-end Emotion variants. All the variants gets a 5-speed manual transmission as standard. However, 4WD is not available on the crossover. Fiat has commenced bookings for the Avventura, while the launch will be in October this year. Prices are expected to start from Rs. 7 lakhs (ex-showroom).
