Marking the first anniversary of the Amaze compact sedan in the Indian market, Honda has introduced the Amaze Anniversary Edition in the country. The Amaze Anniversary Edition comes loaded with several distinctive upgrades for a sporty styling which includes features like front, side and rear under-spoiler, trunk-spoiler along with door visors and exhaust pipe finisher. Distinguishing the regular models from the anniversary edition is the prominent emblem highlighting the special package.
On the inside, the Honda Amaze Anniversary Edition greets you with new upholstery and contrasting wooden finish panel on the dashboard. Mechanically, the anniversary edition receives no upgrades and continues to be powered by the same 1.2-litre i-VTEC engine producing 88 PS of power and 109 Nm of torque, mated to 5-speed manual and automatic transmissions. The diesel model is powered by the same 1.5-litre i-DTEC Earth Dreams motor that produces 100 PS of power and 200 Nm of torque, paired to a 5-speed manual transmission.
The Amaze diesel is also one of the most fuel efficient vehicles in its class with an ARAI certified fuel efficiency of 25.8 km/l. The compact sedan has been a game changer for Honda, being the first to sport a diesel engine for the Japanese firm in the country. The automaker has managed to sell over 80,000 units in the first year of its sales across the sub-continent. The ‘Anniversary Edition’ will be available at a special price of Rs. 71,861/- over the price of the standard ‘VX’ (Rs. 7.08 lakhs for petrol, and Rs. 7.91 lakhs for diesel) and ‘S’ (Rs. 6.07 lakhs for petrol, and Rs. 7.04 lakhs for diesel) variants.
