Hyundai is one of the best automotive manufacturers globally for offering value for money products and the automaker has announced the prices of its luxury offering Genesis in the American market. The all new 2015 Genesis is a premium luxury sports car from Hyundai and the Korean automaker’s plans to increase their brand value can be known with this luxury offering. Hyundai has retained the price of the well equipped entry level version at $38,000 (Rs. 22.86 lakhs) which is similar to the outgoing model.
The previous generation Hyundai Genesis was available as a sedan and coupe but the new vehicle will be available only with the sedan body styling initially. The all new Genesis is powered by a 3.8-litre V6 unit as well as a 5.0-litre V8 motor. Both these powertrains are available with the option of rear wheel drive (RWD) and all wheel drive (AWD) modes. The V6 unit is available with optional packages like Signature, Technology, Ultimate while the V8 unit will be available only with the Ultimate optional package apart from the base regular versions.
This vehicle will be run on specially designed 18-inch alloy wheels which are equipped with P245/45 R18 all-season tyres. Hyundai is well known for equipping its offerings with loads of class leading features and the Genesis is no exception. This vehicle is loaded with class leading features such as hill-hold control, Intelligent drive mode select, vehicle stability management, electronic stability control with traction control system, anti-lock braking system, nine airbags, front and rear seat belt pre-tensioners, anti-whiplash front head restraints on the safety front.
The 2015 Hyundai Genesis is also equipped with convenience features such as an 8-inch navigation system which adds up into a rear-view camera, power folding mirrors with Genesis logo puddle lamps, automatic headlights with LED accents, daytime running lights, 4.3-inch TFT LCD cluster display, 12-way power heated leather front seats, proximity key with push-button start, electroluminescent gauge cluster, dual automatic temperature control, auto-dimming inside rear view mirrors with compass and an infotainment system with seven speakers, Bluetooth hands-free phone system and audio streaming, rain-sensing wipers with auto defogger windshield.
