DSK Motowheels has updated the Hyosung GT250R sports bike with a rather subtle facelift. As per a report, the motorcycle now gets revised styling elements to make it look more like the older sibling GT650R. The revision is actually quite precise and telling both the bikes apart at a first glance can be very difficult. The air intakes near the headlights and on the sides are the same as the 650. The headlight cluster is a new one too and the overall changes definitely give the bike a fresh appeal compared to the current version.
The distinguishing factor though on the GT250R and the GT650R are the different exhausts. The 250 gets an aluminium exhaust, while the 650 gets a matte finish exhaust. The 250 also sports narrower tyres than the bigger 650. The refreshed GT250R will come with no mechanical changes. Powering the machine will be the same 249cc V-Twin motor producing 28 PS of power and 22.07 Nm of torque, mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. The minor cosmetic updates to the GT250R were made last year in global markets.
Hyosung will soon make an official launch announcement of the refreshed GT250R along with a new GT650R that gets new stickers and mild updates. The bookings though have already commenced for the updated GT250R and the bike is priced for Rs. 2.75 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi). The GT250R competes with the Kawasaki Ninja 300 and the Honda CBR250R in the quarter-litre segment. In the mean time, check out our review of the Hyosung GT250R HERE.
