Skoda has launched a special edition variant called the Rapid Ultima in the Indian market and has priced the special edition model starting from Rs 8.33 lakhs to Rs 9.97 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi). The special edition variant is available in its 92 dealerships spread across the country for a short duration of time. The Rapid is one of the best mid-size sedans and this special edition variant is offered in the Elegance and Ambition Plus trims. The Rapid Ultima will be offered without any change in the mechanicals and the changes are only cosmetic.
The exteriors of the Rapid Ultima are visually differentiate compared to the regular Rapid with an attractive decal stretching from the hood over the roof and across the shoulder line. The changes to the interiors are minimal and the special edition vehicle is offered with the same set of engines which are available on the regular Rapid lineup. It is available with the 1.6-litre petrol engine producing a maximum power of 105 HP with a maximum torque of 220 Nm as well as a 1.6-litre diesel engine producing a maximum power of 105 HP with a maximum torque of 250 Nm.
The new Skoda Rapid Ultima incorporates the new Skoda logo and is loaded with additional and essential features like roof and side foils, Garmin and Tom-Tom navigation system, projector-lens headlamps, on-board computer, multi-function steering wheel, Bluetooth connectivity, parking sensors along with a rear view camera, side plaque with Ultima branding, newly designed seven-spoke alloy wheels, leather seat covers, floor mats and door sill plates with Ultima branding.
