5-star Safety Rating For New Maruti Dzire At GNCAP

All-new Maruti Dzire score a 5-star safety rating, highest rating for a Maruti car!

For the first time ever, a Maruti car has received an impressive 5-star safety rating in the GNCAP crash test! For adult occupant protection it has received 31.24 out of 34 with 5 stars and 39.20 out of 49 with 4 stars for child occupant protection in the recent crash test. Maruti Suzuki is set to launch the all-new Dzire in the Indian market and this safety rating will definitely get it more attention!

The model tested in the Global NCAP is made in India for the domestic market and it comes with standard safety features like 6 airbags, ESC, ISOFIX mounts and 3-point seat belt for all the passengers. These features are standard across all the variants and during the test the sedan demonstrated robust protection throughout.

All the tests including front offset deformable barrier, side mobile barrier, pole side impact, pedestrian child headform to bonnet and pedestrian lower legform to bumper were conducted. While lastly since the new Dzire comes equipped with ESC, a special electronic stability control test was also conducted.

With these scores, the new Maruti Dzire currently holds the highest number for any Maruti car made for the domestic market.

The new Maruti Suzuki Dzire gets an all-new design language with added features like a sunroof which is also a first to ever come in a Dzire. Maruti will launch the Dzire with a CNG option as well and it has a claimed mileage number of 33.75 km/kg. Powering the new Dzire is a 3-cylinder, 1197cc, Z-Series engine producing 82 PS and 111.7 Nm of torque.

The pricing for the all-new Maruti Suzuki Dzire is yet to be unveiled but the 5-star GNCAP safety rating does make it a more desirable product!
