Air Chief Marshall PV Naik will flag-off the 45th Statesman Vintage and Classic Car Rally on Sunday, February 13th, 2011 at Statesman House in New Delhi at 9 am. A record 130 entries have been received for this years rally which is India’s biggest and most popular vintage sporting events. These rare beauties will travel between Delhi and Greater Noida before returning to Modern School, Barakhamba Road for prize distribution. The sturdy Fords, little Austins, Bentleys, Lagondas, Minnervas, majestic Rolls Royce, stylish Chevrolets, Buicks and Jaguars, a pleasing 1914 John Morris, the erstwhile Nizam of Hyderabad’s fire engine are some of the timeless machines participating in this year’s rally.
Schedule of the 45th Statesman Vintage and Classic Car Rally : –
- Flag off from the Majestic Building of Statesman House at 9 AM by Air Chief Marshall PV Naik
- Cars reach YMCA Greater Noida at 11 AM
- Lunch and refreshments for participants· Flag-Off from YMCA at 130 PM after lunch
- Cars reach Modern School Barakhamba Road at 3 PM
- Prize Distribution by the Air Chief,s wife at the school premises at 4 PM
- Event Ends 5 PM
- Pre-judging of these timeless machines by an expert panel of vintage car judges would take place a day earlier at Modern School, Barakhamba Road, New Delhi
