The Hero XF3R concept was developed with inputs from Erik Buell Racing in the United States along with the upcoming HX250R and was showcased at the 2016 Auto Expo.
Hero was awarded the best two-wheeler pavilion at the 2016 Auto Expo with its products such as the Xtreme 200S and Splendour iSmart. The automaker also showcased the XF3R concept street-fighter developed with inputs from the former partner Erik Buell Racing in the United States.
The Hero XF3R concept was developed along with the upcoming HX250R and uses a similar liquid-cooled, DOHC engine. It is powered by a 300cc, single-cylinder engine mated to a 6-speed gearbox and is equipped with programmed fuel-injection system. The HF3R is expected to produce between 30 to 35 BHP of power.
The Hero XF3R comes with two different riding modes, however details about these modes are not out yet. The street-fighter is built on a tubular trellis frame with features such as digital instrument console, standard ABS, Pirelli tyres, split seats, DRLs above the headlamp and overall minimalist design.
The braking department consists of disc brakes on both wheels while the Hero XF3R is suspended by inverted telescopic forks upfront and a monoshock unit at the rear and it comes with a single-sided die-cast swingarm. The bike comes with high tail exhaust and twin canisters.
According to import reports, Hero imported 25 prototypes from the United States of which 21 were fitted with 249.8cc engines while the rest 4 models were fitted with 124cc motors. The 249cc bikes were categorised in three different body types that is expected to include a street-fighter, a fully faired bike and an adventure motorcycle.
