After launching the DZire, Maruti is now gearing up to launch 3 more cars this fiscal.
Maruti Suzuki had lined up 4 new launches for this financial year and with the 2017 DZire being launched, the rest 3 cars in the pipeline are the next-generation Swift hatchback, S-Cross facelift and the updated Celerio.
The next-generation Swift hatchback will underpin the Baleno’s platform and at the same time will be 10-15 percent lighter. The Swift is expected to be powered by the same 1.2-litre K-Series petrol engine and the 1.3-litre DDiS diesel engine that powers the current Swift. However, the new Swift is expected to be offered with an automatic gearbox on both petrol and diesel variants.
The S-Cross facelift is expected to be launched in India by this festive season. The facelifted model looks fresh with the new front fascia featuring a vertical-slat chrome grille. The S-Cross facelift too is expected to carry forward the same engine options as offered in the current S-Cross. The Celerio hatch is expected to see minor tweaks on its exteriors as well as interiors. Maruti might add some more equipment to make the car competitive against its competitors.
