Classic Legends is looking forward to branch out the product line-up of the iconic Jawa motorcycles in India. The Mahindra Group-owned manufacturer is planning to offer 3 more Jawa bikes with different technology and engine configuration in the next 18 months. The product plan will be announced on 15th November 2019 as the company hopes to cater to a large customer base.
The company, which had acquired British motorcycle maker BSA, is also considering launching the BSA motorcycle in Europe post Brexit.
Jawa has had quite an eventful journey in India from being discontinued in 1970 to being resurrected by Classic Legends in 2018. The bikes are manufactured at the brand’s facility at Pithampur in Madhya Pradesh. The standard Jawa is priced at Rs. 1.64 lakh, while the Jawa Forty Two is tagged at Rs 1.55 lakh (all prices, ex-showroom).
Jawa claims that their product is sold out till 31st March 2020. Post that, the firm declares that they are BS6 ready. The Czech brand witnesses more buyers from cities such as Pune, Bengaluru, Delhi, Chandigarh and Cochin with 60% of its customers between 23-29 years of age.
