2025 Suzuki Access 125 Spotted Testing In India: What to Expect

2025 Suzuki Access 125 to get major updates in terms of styling and features

Suzuki Access 125, one of Suzuki’s best-selling two-wheelers in India, has been spotted testing once again ahead of its expected launch next year. This marks another round of updates for the scooter, which was last refreshed eight years ago. Despite its age, the Access 125 has remained a strong competitor in the Indian scooter market, consistently performing well in terms of sales. The upcoming update appears to focus on cosmetic changes while retaining much of the scooter’s familiar mechanical features.

Cosmetic and Practical Updates

According to the latest spy shots, the 2025 Suzuki Access 125 will feature a redesigned headlamp, giving it a sharper look compared to the outgoing model. While the front apron and fender remain largely unchanged, the rear of the scooter is expected to sport a new single-piece grab rail and an updated mudguard, alongside a heat-shielded exhaust system. Additionally, Suzuki may introduce a larger floorboard and increase under-seat storage capacity, enhancing the scooter’s practicality for daily commuting.

Feature Additions and Equipment

The new model is anticipated to bring minor feature upgrades, including the possible addition of hazard lights. The current model already comes equipped with features like a USB charging port and luggage hooks, making it a well-rounded offering in terms of convenience. The 2025 model could also see changes in the colour options for alloy wheels and seats, depending on the variant.

Engine and Performance

Under the hood, Suzuki is expected to retain the tried-and-tested 124cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine, which currently produces 8.7 BHP at 6750 RPM and 10 Nm of torque at 5500 RPM. The engine will continue to be paired with a CVT transmission, providing smooth and effortless riding for users. The suspension setup is likely to remain unchanged, with telescopic front forks and a single rear spring setup.

Pricing and Market Position

The current Suzuki Access 125 is priced between Rs. 82,300/- and Rs. 93,000/- (ex-showroom), depending on the variant, which includes options such as Drum, Disc, Special Edition and RideConnect. The pricing for the updated model is yet to be confirmed but it is expected to remain competitive. When launched, the 2025 Suzuki Access 125 will continue to compete against other popular models in the 125cc scooter segment, such as the Honda Activa 125, TVS Jupiter 125 and Yamaha Fascino 125.

While the updates to the 2025 Suzuki Access 125 appear to be primarily cosmetic, the scooter is expected to maintain its position as a practical and reliable option for Indian commuters. With subtle design tweaks, potential new features and the same trusted performance, it will likely appeal to both existing Suzuki customers and new buyers in the market.
