2025 Mercedes S-Class facelift to get drastic visual changes, India bound

2025 Mercedes S-Class facelift spotted testing for the first time. The mid-cycle update will come with multiple changes in terms of styling and tech to compete more aggressively in the segment. The prototype reveals some interesting details.

The front profile of the S-Class will get restyled. It will come with a larger grille design that will extend down to the bumper. Other details to include new headlight design and revised bumper for a more premium look. Usually these mid-cycle updates of the German luxury carmaker are not too drastic, they just get mild visual enhancements. However, this time around it seems there will be some dramatic changes to catch more attention in the segment.

The side profile will remain more or less the same apart from new alloy wheel designs. The rear profile is expected to come with an updated set of lights and new bumper detailing.

The interior of the S-Class facelift is also expected to get some changes including new materials and colour options of the dashboard and the upholstery. They might also offer a third screen on the passenger side to up their game. You can expect a ton of more features with this update including new MBUX software and other UI changes.

The German luxury carmaker will introduce a range of petrol, diesel and hybrid engine options. Their focus will be to improve the efficiency of these engines with electrification while retaining the performance figures. The plug-in hybrid variant is expected to offer more electric-only range on full charge.

The new Mercedes S-Class is expected to make its debut next year. The Indian market is likely to get the facelifted version soon after its global debut with a range of petrol and diesel engines. Currently, Mercedes is witnessing majority of its sales in India from its diesel powered vehicles according to a recent report. So, the diesel variants of the S-Class are here to stay for a long while.
