2025 Honda Amaze front profile teased, looks inspired by the new Accord
Honda has unveiled the first teaser image of the highly anticipated third-generation Amaze compact sedan, building excitement ahead of its global debut. While Honda hasn’t provided specific details yet, it’s expected that bookings for the new Amaze will open sometime next month, paving the way for its eventual reveal.
Updated Design
The teaser image offers a glimpse into the new Amaze’s refreshed front profile, revealing design cues inspired by Honda’s latest global lineup, such as the Accord. The headlamps, now slimmer with angular edges, showcase a modernised look. Premium variants will retain LED projector headlights, complemented by LED daytime running lights positioned at the top of the headlamp units. These DRLs merge seamlessly into the grille, creating a unified front aesthetic.
A striking chrome bar runs across the front, connecting the headlamps to the grille, which sports a honeycomb pattern. A prominent Honda emblem sits centrally on the grille. Additional elements on the bumper, including large air dam recesses at each corner, hint at darkened inserts that add a sporty touch.
What’s Known So Far
Over recent months, the new Amaze has been spotted testing, with spy images hinting at a more slab-sided design with refined details, such as a smoky finish for the tail-lamps. In terms of power, the new Amaze is expected to carry forward the same 1.2-litre petrol engine found in the current model, mated to either a 5-speed manual or a CVT automatic transmission. Additionally, there are discussions around a potential CNG-powered variant that could expand the lineup in the future.
Competition and Market Positioning
The new Amaze will enter a competitive segment currently occupied by rivals such as the recently updated Hyundai Aura, along with upcoming models like the new Maruti Dzire, which is set for its own launch on 11th November. Further competition stems from popular compact SUVs and sub-compact vehicles in a similar price bracket, including the Tata Punch and Hyundai Exter.
