BYD enhances the 2025 Seal & Atto 3 with new comfort, tech & performance upgrades
BYD has introduced key upgrades to its Seal sedan and Atto 3 SUV as part of its 2025 model year updates. These improvements focus on enhancing comfort, convenience and performance, reinforcing BYD’s position in India’s growing electric vehicle market.
Enhancements in the 2025 BYD Seal
The latest iteration of the BYD Seal comes with several feature enhancements. Notably, all variants now include a powered sunshade, previously available only as an optional accessory. This addition addresses concerns about cabin overheating, particularly during extended exposure to sunlight.
The Seal also receives improved connectivity features, with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto now offered as standard across all trims. Additionally, the vehicle benefits from an upgraded air conditioning and purification system for better in-cabin comfort.
From a mechanical perspective, the mid-spec Premium variant now features Frequency Selective Dampers (FSD) to enhance ride quality. Meanwhile, the top-tier Performance variant is equipped with BYD’s DiSus-C damping system, which dynamically adjusts based on road conditions for a smoother driving experience.
Bookings for the 2025 BYD Seal begin on March 11 with an initial deposit of Rs. 1.25 lakh, while the official price announcement is expected in April.
2025 BYD Atto 3 Updates
The 2025 BYD Atto 3 sees notable interior and technical upgrades. Aesthetic changes include a shift to an all-black interior, replacing the previous three-tone scheme. Additionally, the front seats now feature ventilation, enhancing comfort, particularly in warmer climates.
On the technical front, the Atto 3 replaces its conventional lead-acid low-voltage battery with a Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) unit. This new battery is significantly lighter—six times lighter than traditional options—and boasts an extended lifespan of up to 15 years.
BYD has announced that the first 3,000 buyers of the 2025 Atto 3 will benefit from existing pricing, starting at Rs. 24.99 lakhs for the 49.92kWh Dynamic variant. The Premium and Superior trims, equipped with a 60.48kWh battery pack, are priced at Rs. 29.85 lakhs and Rs. 33.99 lakhs, respectively. Bookings are open with a deposit of Rs. 30,000.
BYD’s Growing Presence in India
With these updates, BYD aims to strengthen its foothold in the Indian EV market. The company has already delivered 1300 units of the Seal and 3100 units of the Atto 3, indicating growing consumer interest in its offerings.
The updates for the 2025 model year focus on enhancing driving comfort and efficiency, aligning with the increasing demand for feature-rich electric vehicles in India.
