Both the SUVs get 5 star GNCAP crash test rating, body shell rated as stable
Tata Motors have launched the Harrier and Safari facelift with a starting price of Rs. 15.49 lakhs and Rs. 16.19 lakhs respectively (all prices introductory and ex-showroom). You can check the full price details in the images below. However, pricing for all the automatic trims are yet to be revealed.
Just before the Indian carmaker announced the pricing of the new updates, Global NCAP revealed the much awaited safety results of the Tata Harrier and Safari. Both the SUVs score full five stars and the big news is that the footwell area and the body shell have been rated as stable.
The Harrier and Safari facelifts have scored 33.05 out of 34 points for Adult Occupant Protection and 45 points out of 49 for Child Occupant Protection. It seems like they have made some changes to the footwell area for better safety rating.
Some of the highlights of the facelifted Harrier and Safari include 7 airbags (6 standard across all trims), 12.30-inch touchscreen infotainment system, 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, 10-speaker JBL audio system, ADAS with 12 features, gesture controlled powered tailgate, ventilated first row seats and ventilated second row seats (for Safari only).
2024 Tata Harrier and Safari both continue to be powered by the same 2.0-litre Kryotec diesel engine producing 170 PS and 350 Nm of torque, mated to 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic transmission options.
The Tata Harrier is offered in 7 colour options – Sunlit Yellow, Coral Red, Pebble Grey, Lunar White, Oberon Black, Seaweed Green and Ash Grey. The Safari is available in – Cosmic Gold, Galactic Sapphire, Stardust Ash, Stellar Frost, Oberon Black, Supernova Copper and Lunar Slate.
The Harrier is available in four variants – Smart, Pure, Adventure and Fearless. The Safari too is being offered in four variants but the range topping trim has a different name – Smart, Pure, Adventure and Accomplished.
