2024 Skoda Octavia facelift gets mild visual changes and new features
2024 Skoda Octavia facelift revealed officially, likely to launch in India later this year in limited numbers via CBU. The updated model comes with cosmetic changes and new features on offer. It is available in multiple variants with sedan and combi body styles.
The exterior gets new sharper looking headlights that get second generation LED Matrix beam tech. The grille has got slight tweaks along with the front and rear bumpers. The boot gets bold Skoda lettering on it and the tail lights have also been tweaked with a hint of dark shade. Skoda is offering new alloy wheel designs with this mid-cycle update. There are 10 colour options on offer.
The interior looks more or less the same but the Czech brand is now using more sustainable materials inside the cabin including new sustainable leather. The dashboard gets updated colour tones and the upholstery matches the same.
There is a new optional 13-inch digital touchscreen display on offer. It comes standard with a 10-inch unit along with a new 10-inch Virtual Cockpit with the latest user interface. It is also equipped with AI based chatbot ChatGPT. It comes with Attention and Drowsiness Assist.
Skoda has added Intelligent Park Assist that manoeuvres the car inside a parking space without any driver input. It will also come with Remote Park Assist that will be accessible via Skoda App on the smartphone from which you can park your car while standing outside.
In the international market, Skoda will be offering four petrol and two diesel engine options that includes two mild-hybrid powertrains as well to further boost the fuel economy. However, if launched in India, the new Octavia is expected to come with petrol engine options only.
