Porsche has launched the third generation Panamera in India at a price of Rs. 1.69 Crore (ex-showroom) and the vehicle will currently be available only with a V6 engine. The vehicle comes with major changes inside out and globally it is offered with more powerful V8 and hybrid options as well.
The new Porsche Panamera retains its body style but now gets new Matrix LED headlamps, parking assistance, 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, 8-way electrically adjustable front seats, smartphone box with wireless charging and cooling, 6 airbags, etc; The vehicle also gets a long list of optional extras that customers can opt for.
Under the hood is a 2.9-litre V6 petrol engine which delivers 353 HP and 500 Nm. The vehicle gets an 8-speed dual-clutch transmission and power is sent to the rear wheels. 0-100 km/hr comes up in 5.1 seconds and top speed is rated at 272 km/hr. The vehicle also gets Porsche Active Suspension Management (air suspension).
Currently, the Porsche Panamera doesn’t have any direct rival here but at that price point a lot of other luxury sedans are present. When Porsche launches, the Panamera V8 in India, it’ll give competition to the Mercedes-AMG GT63s.
