2024 Nissan Kicks spotted, looks larger
2024 Nissan Kicks spotted testing wearing heavy camouflage. The new generation model will get a completely different design, more features and most probably new engines as well.
The Japanese carmaker has started testing the new generation Kicks, which means it is still a long while away from its market launch. Let’s dive deep into the details of the exterior.
The front profile follows the new design DNA of the company which resembles the new gen X-Trail to some extent. It comes with a large grille up front, sizeable headlights and a new bumper design which integrates the ADAS radar and sensors.
On the side you will notice a smooth roofline, large glass area and body mounted ORVMs. The alloy wheel design is hidden but it will follow the new diamond cut styling with a new pattern. The overall size looks bigger compared to the outgoing generation of Nissan Kicks.
We didn’t notice the sunroof but we are sure it will get one. We hope there is a panoramic sunroof for more airy feel inside the cabin. The rear profile now looks less curvy than before as it comes with simple lines or maybe they have used a lot of camouflage material to hide the styling completely.
The interior will get a completely new dashboard design with new steering wheel and a new infotainment system with hopefully a larger display. Since the size looks bigger, we hope the interior is roomy as well along with a bigger boot space on offer.
We have no concrete details about the engine options for the new model. The outgoing version was available with multiple petrol and diesel engine options in the international market. In India, it was available with a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine producing 106 PS and 142 Nm torque. There was a 1.3-litre turbo petrol version as well producing 156 PS and 254 Nm of torque.
International launch is expected sometime in 2024. We don’t know if this will be offered in India. Currently Nissan is working on bringing a couple of new SUVs to the Indian market. We might see this too in the future.
