2024 MINI Cooper S, in its 5th gen avatar, launched in India with new Countryman
2024 MINI Cooper S and MINI Countryman electric launched in India with a price tag of Rs. 44.90 lakhs and Rs. 54.90 lakhs (ex-showroom), respectively. Both the models will be imported to India via CBU. Bookings commence across all authorised dealerships and on their official website. Deliveries will start from September this year.
The new MINI Cooper S will be available in ten colours including Melting Silver, Midnight Black, Nanuq White, British Racing Green, Chili Red II, Indigo Sunset Blue, Blazing Blue, Icy Sunshine Blue, Ocean Wave Green and Sunny Side Yellow. Roof in body colour is available. For Classic Pack, it is additionally available in Glazed White or Jet Black.
17-inch wheels with option of U-Spoke Spectre Grey, Parallel Spoke 2-Tone alloys is available as standard. Favoured Pack has 17-inch U-Spoke Vibrant Silver and 18-inch wheels with options of Slide Spoke 2-Tone and Night Flash Spoke 2-Tone alloys.
Upholstery options include Double cloth textile in Black / Multitone as standard. Sports Seats with Vescin Grey | Textile Blue or Black | Textile Blue are available in the ‘Classic’ Pack. JCW Sports Seats with Vescin | Beige or Nightshade Blue are available in the ‘Favoured’ pack.
The new MINI Countryman electric will be available in nine colours including Melting Silver, Midnight Black, Nanuq White, British Racing Green, Chili Red II, Indigo Sunset Blue, Blazing Blue, Smokey Green and Slate Blue. Roof in body colour is available. For ‘Classic’ Pack, it is additionally available in Glazed White or Jet Black. For Favoured Pack, it is additionally available in ‘Vibrant Silver’.
17-inch wheels with Profile Aero Spoke Lighting Grey alloys are available as standard. Favoured Pack has 19-inch wheels with Kaleido Spoke Two-Tone (Jet Black + Vibrant Silver) alloys. Upholstery options include Double cloth textile in Black / Multitone as standard. Sports Seats with Vescin Grey | Textile Blue or Black | Textile Blue are available in the ‘Classic’ Pack. JCW Sports Seats with Vescin | Beige, Dark Petrol or Vintage Brown are available in the ‘Favoured’ pack.
The all-electric MINI Countryman comes with a complimentary MINI Smart Wallbox charger with one-time installation.
The new MINI Cooper S is the final combustion engine generation. It is powered by a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine that produces 204 HP and 300 Nm of torque. This output has been increased from the previous gen’s 178 HP and 280 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a 7-speed dual clutch transmission. It does a claimed 0-100 km/hr acceleration in 6.6 seconds.
The Cooper S is currently available in a 2-door version in India. It will be available in the recently revealed 4-door version later. The carmaker will also introduce the all-electric version of the Cooper S later this year in India.
The Countryman electric gets a 66.4kWh battery pack. The electric powertrain produces 204 BHP and 250 Nm of torque. It does 0-100 km/hr in 8.6 seconds and has a top speed of 170 km/hr. It gets a claimed WLTP range of 462 km on single charge.
