2024 Maruti Swift price revealed, gets new design and updated 1.2-litre engine
2024 Maruti Swift launched with a starting price of Rs. 6.49 lakhs (ex-showroom) for the base LXi variant that goes up to Rs. 9.64 lakhs (ex-showroom) for the range topping dual tone ZXi+ AGS variant. The new generation model gets updated design, new interiors, more features and the latest Z-Series engine.
The design language has not changed drastically but the new Swift looks like an evolution over the previous generation model. The front profile gets a new set of headlamps with LED projectors and integrated LED DRLs. There is a new sporty looking grille design, updated front and rear bumpers, clamshell bonnet, new sharper LED tail lamps and dual tone 15-inch alloy wheels.
Maruti is offering 6 monotone colours – Sizzling Red, Luster Blue, Novel Orange, Magma Grey, Splendid Silver and Pearl Arctic White. There are three dual tone colours – Sizzling Red with black roof, Luster Blue with black roof and Pearl Arctic White with black roof.
It measures 3860 mm in length, 1735 mm in width and 1520 mm in height. It has a wheelbase of 2450 mm. The tyre size is 165/80R14 for the LXi, VXi and VXi(O) trims and 185/65R15 for ZXI and ZXI+ trims.
The interior of the new generation Swift gets a fresh dashboard design with 8-degree tilt for driver-oriented setting. It comes with a familiar looking flat-bottom steering wheel design with steering mounted controls for the infotainment and cruise control. The instrument cluster gets asymmetric dials and a multi-information display in the centre.
Some of the features include 9-inch Smartplay Pro+ touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, ARKAMYS surround sense audio system, wireless charger, Suzuki Connect, etc.
Standard safety features include 6 airbags, Electronic Stability Program+ (ESP), Hill Hold Assist, Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD) and Brake Assist, 3-point seat belts for all seats with reminders.
2024 Maruti Swift is powered by a new 1.2-litre 3-cylinder Z-Series naturally aspirated petrol engine producing 81.58 PS at 5700 RPM and 111.7 Nm of torque at 4300 RPM. It comes with 5-speed manual and AMT transmission options. Manual version returns a claimed fuel efficiency of 24.80 km/l. The AMT version returns a claimed fuel efficiency of 25.75 km/l. It has the same fuel tank capacity of 37 litres.
