2024 Maruti Swift CNG is the 14th CNG powered model in Maruti’s lineup
The much awaited CNG version of the new generation Maruti Swift is here and it comes with a starting price of Rs. 8.19 lakhs (ex-showroom). You can have a look at the complete price list below. The Swift CNG will be available in three variants – VXi, VXi (O) and ZXi. You can also buy it with monthly subscription starting from Rs. 21,628/-.
The new 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder, Z-series Dual VVT petrol motor will be getting CNG for the first time for the new Swift. It produces 69.75 PS at 5700 RPM and 101.8 Nm torque at 2900 RPM in the CNG mode. This engine is only available with the 5-speed manual transmission in the CNG variants.
Maruti Suzuki is claiming 32.85 km/kg of fuel efficiency with the CNG variants. It is a 6 percent improvement over the previous generation Swift CNG. In the regular petrol mode, this engine delivers an output of 81.58 PS at 5700 RPM and 111.7 Nm of torque at 4300 RPM.
Other features include six airbags, Electronic Stability Program+ (ESP®) and Hill Hold Assist, automatic climate control, rear AC vent, wireless charger, 60 : 40 split rear seats and a 7-inch Smart Play Pro infotainment system and Suzuki Connect.
Sadly there is no AMT on offer. We hope Maruti comes up with the new dual cylinder CNG tech like Tata Motors and Hyundai have adopted with their new offerings that saves a lot of boot space. Additionally, CNG automatic is on the horizon, which further adds to the convenience for CNG drivers. We hope the two new technologies will be adopted by Maruti in the near future.
With the launch of the new Swift CNG, Maruti now has a total of 14 CNG models in their lineup. They have already sold 67,000 units of the new generation Swift within 4 months of its launch in May 2024.
