2024 Maruti Dzire spotted with sunroof
2024 Maruti Dzire prototype has been spotted testing for the second time but this time around more details of the new compact sedan have been revealed. The new generation model based on the new Swift will get a range of new features on offer along with substantial styling tweaks and mechanical changes.
This is the first time that the front profile of the sedan has been caught, though it is heavily covered in camouflage. We all have seen the new generation Swift’s design from all angles but we believe the Dzire will get distinct styling details to differentiate the two products. The front profile is expected to come with a unique grille design along with a different bumper design as well with some chrome elements.
The side profile will get new alloy wheel design, sharper shoulder line and an abrupt flat boot cut to offer maximum boot space. The rear profile will come with newly designed sleeker tail lights and bumper. The biggest thing to notice here is the presence of sunroof. This will be the first compact sedan in the segment to have this feature. Even the Swift is expected to get the sunroof.
The interior will get the same dashboard as the new gen Swift but you can expect Maruti to offer different colour tones and more space for the rear passengers. It is likely to get features like larger touchscreen infotainment system, 360 degree parking camera, heads-up display along with wireless charger, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto amongst other features.
It will be powered by the new Z-Series 1.2-litre naturally aspirated 3-cylinder petrol engine producing 82 BHP and 108 Nm of torque. It will be available with both 5-speed manual and AMT transmission options.
The new Maruti Dzire will give some sleepless nights to its rivals like Hyundai Aura, Honda Amaze and Tata Tigor. Out of these competitors, Honda is preparing to launch the new generation Amaze later this year. The compact sedan segment is going to witness quite a lot of action this year it seems.
