2024 Land Rover Discovery Sport launched with mild visual tweaks and new features
2024 Land Rover Discovery Sport launched, priced from Rs. 67.90 lakhs (ex-showroom). The updated SUV is available in Dynamic SE with two powertrain options – 2.0-litre petrol engine delivering a power of 249 PS and 365 Nm of torque and a 2.0-litre Ingenium diesel engine delivering a power of 204 PS and 430 Nm torque.
The Discovery Sport is available with up to seven seats and offers a versatile cabin experience with up to 24 possible seat configurations. The second row of seats slides and reclines with a 40:20:40 split, while the load area has a capacity of up to 1794 litres with the rear seats folded down. It is equipped with a powered tailgate that makes loading and unloading easy.
The Discovery Sport now features a digital instrument cluster and steering wheel-mounted gearshift paddles as standard. The redesigned and simplified centre console gets a new floating 11.4-inch curved glass touchscreen. The Pivi Pro infotainment set-up features permanently accessible sidebars, which provide shortcuts to key vehicle controls and functions, such as media, volume, climate and navigation.
The interior has been updated with new upholstery and materials. It now comes with a new gear shifter design surrounded by a natural shadow oak trim finisher. Discovery Sport Dynamic SE features DuoLeather interiors with up to two colour options.
Land Rover is now offering Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as standard. The updated SUV features 3D surround cameras and ClearSight Ground View. The redesigned centre console liberates stowage space and accommodates Wireless Device Charging offered as standard.
In addition, two USB-C chargers are available in each row with 12 V power in the second row and loadspace. The third row also gets climate control and USB-C charging. Discovery Sport is now updated with Cabin Air Purification Plus. It gets PM2.5 Filtration and CO2 Management.
The exterior comes with gloss black finish elements like Discovery script, grille, lower body sills and lower bumpers. Gloss Black front claw detailing on the bumpers and wheel arches. The alloy wheel design has also been updated, it gets 19-inch Diamond Turned finish alloy wheels. Land Rover has also added a new Varesine Blue colour for the Discovery Sport.
