2024 KTM 250 Duke launched with much awaited updates and cosmetic tweaks
KTM has launched an updated version of its 250 Duke, now equipped with a 5-inch TFT display similar to the one found on the 390 Duke. This update follows the recent inclusion of the same display on the smaller 200 Duke, positioning the 250 Duke competitively in KTM’s lineup. Priced at Rs 2.41 lakhs (ex-showroom), the new 250 Duke offers enhanced tech features without significant mechanical changes.
Key Updates:
- TFT Display: The most notable upgrade is the inclusion of KTM’s 5-inch TFT display, which brings new-age graphics, better readability and Bluetooth connectivity. While Bluetooth was available on the earlier model, the display’s enhanced interface now matches the 390 Duke’s. The new switchgear, borrowed from the 390, also includes a four-way menu switch for easier navigation.
- Visual Enhancements: The 250 Duke now sports the LED daytime running lights (DRLs) from the 390 Duke, adding a fresh visual element to the headlamp. The bike retains its sleeker side panels around the fuel tank, distinguishing it from the 390, which features larger panels.
Mechanically Unchanged:
The 250 Duke continues to be powered by its 250cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine, which delivers 31 HP and 25 Nm of torque. This engine is paired with the same new-generation trellis frame and cast aluminium subframe seen in the latest 390 Duke. Weighing in at 163 kg, the bike also retains its 15-litre fuel tank, offering good range for urban and highway use.
Features:
In terms of rider assists, KTM has kept the switchable ABS and bi-directional quickshifter as standard on the 250 Duke, offering advanced handling and control for a bike in this segment.
Pricing:
Despite the addition of these new features, the price of the 250 Duke has only increased slightly, now costing Rs. 2.41 lakhs. This positions it well between the more affordable 200 Duke and the higher-performance 390 Duke.
With these updates, the KTM 250 Duke is now better equipped to compete in the premium quarter-litre segment, combining its sporty performance with modern tech and styling enhancements.
