2024 Kia Carnival is available in a single trim with 7-seater configuration
2024 Kia Carnival launched in India with a price tag of Rs. 63.90 lakhs (ex-showroom). Available in a single, fully-loaded Limousine trim, this latest iteration of the premium MPV comes with a 7-seater configuration.
Exterior and Interior Highlights
The fourth-generation Carnival, first launched internationally in November 2022, has been given a facelift for its Indian debut. The MPV features a sharper, boxier design, distinguished by Kia’s signature Tiger Nose grille, vertically stacked LED headlamps with L-shaped LED DRLs, and 18-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels. At the rear, the L-shaped motif continues with connected LED tail-lights, creating a modern look.
Inside, the Carnival offers two interior themes: Navy and Misty Gray, and Tuscan and Umber. The MPV has a 2+2+3 seating layout, with the highlight being the second-row captain seats that come with heating, ventilation, and adjustable leg support, offering premium comfort.
Features
The new Carnival is available in a single variant, packed with premium features. It includes dual 12.3-inch curved displays, dual electric sunroofs, three-zone climate control, an 11-inch head-up display and a 12-speaker Bose sound system. Other noteworthy elements are a 12-way powered driver’s seat, wireless charging pads and a powered tailgate. The second-row captain seats also come with powered sliding rear doors for added convenience.
In terms of safety, the Carnival comes equipped with 8 airbags, rear disc brakes, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Hill Assist Control, a tyre pressure monitoring system and a 360-degree camera. The Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) suite includes features like Lane Keep Assist, Front Collision Warning, Adaptive Cruise Control and more.
Engine and Performance
Under the hood, the new Carnival retains its 2.2-litre diesel engine, which delivers 193 HP and 441 Nm of peak torque. This engine is paired with an 8-speed torque converter automatic gearbox, powering the front wheels. The powertrain ensures a strong and reliable performance for the MPV, suited for both city driving and long-distance journeys.
Kia’s After-Sales Offerings
To enhance the ownership experience, Kia is offering three years of free maintenance, warranty and roadside assistance with the new Carnival. The company has already garnered 2796 bookings for the vehicle, signalling strong initial interest.
Conclusion
The 2024 Kia Carnival enters the Indian market as a high-end MPV option, equipped with premium features and modern safety technologies. However, inspite of being a CKD, the pricing seems to be on the higher side.
