2024 Kawasaki Ninja 500 to replace Ninja 400, offered with the same price tag
2024 Kawasaki Ninja 500 launched with a price tag of Rs. 5.24 lakhs (introductory & ex-showroom). Deliveries will commence from the end of February. The price point positions it directly alongside the Ninja 400, which is currently available with a discount of Rs. 40,000/-. This pricing strategy suggests that Kawasaki might eventually phase out the Ninja 400 in favour of the newer model.
The Ninja 500 comes in its standard variant, featuring an LCD dash and weighs slightly more than the Ninja 400 but manages to undercut competitors like the Aprilia RS 457 in terms of weight.
Powering the Ninja 500 is a liquid-cooled, 451cc, parallel-twin engine producing 45 HP at 9000 RPM and 42.6 Nm of torque at 6000 RPM. This engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox which is equipped with a slipper clutch.
It comes with a new aggressive styling and features new LED headlight and tail light. There’s a high contrast full LCD instrument cluster with smartphone connectivity. The seat has been revised for a good balance of comfortable and sporty riding position.
Some of the accessories with the 2024 Kawasaki Ninja 500 include large windshield (clear or smoked), USB-C outlet, +30 mm high seat, tank bag, tank pad, knee pads, radiator screen, frame sliders, pillion seat cover, wheel rim tape, helmet lock and U-lock.
The price tag is higher than its primary rivals – the Yamaha R3, Aprilia RS 457 and KTM RC 390. Which one of these bikes would you pick in this segment? Let us know in the comments section.
