2024 Jawa Perak gets new stealth dual-tone paint scheme
2024 Jawa Perak launched with a price tag of Rs. 2,13,187/- (all prices, ex-showroom). Updated Jawa 42 Bobber comes with a starting price of Rs. 2,09,500/- that goes up to Rs. 2,29,500/- for the range topping variant.
These launches come amidst a growing interest in neo-retro and classic motorcycles across the Asian subcontinent, particularly in India, which boasts the world’s largest motorcycle and scooter market.
Embracing the thriving Bobber culture, the 2024 Jawa Perak and 42 Bobber are designed to blend retro styling with sporty performance. Both motorcycles adhere to the Bobber principles while differing in their execution and aesthetics. The Perak leans towards a vintage and classic formula, while the 42 Bobber embodies a more neo-retro vibe.
One notable aspect of the 2024 Jawa Perak is its striking Stealth Matte Black/Matte Grey dual-tone colour scheme, accentuated by brass elements on the fuel tank badges and fuel filler cap, that lends an old-school appeal. Additionally, the quilted tan single-piece seat promises enhanced comfort for riders. To further improve the riding experience, Jawa has repositioned the rider foot pegs for a more relaxed riding posture and reworked the rear mono-shock suspension setup.
On the other hand, the updates to the 2024 Jawa 42 Bobber are more profound, with the addition of alloy wheels and tubeless tyres for increased practicality and accessibility. The 42 Bobber now offers new colour options such as Mystic Copper and Jasper Red dual-tone.
Both the Jawa Perak and 42 Bobber are powered by the same 334cc liquid-cooled DOHC 4V engine, delivering 30 BHP and 30 Nm of torque. Notable features include LED lighting, a digital instrument cluster, a USB charging socket, an adjustable seat and multiple luggage mounting options. Moreover, safety features such as dual-channel ABS by Continental and slip and assist clutch ensure a secure riding experience.
Commenting on the launch, Ashish Singh Joshi, CEO of Jawa Yezdi Motorcycles, highlighted the popularity of the Jawa Perak and 42 Bobber in India’s aspirational market, acknowledging the allure of the Bobber mindset and the temptation offered by the Perak’s new design.
