2024 Jawa 42 Launched, Priced From Rs. 1.72 Lakhs

2024 Jawa 42 launched with new colour options and updated mechanicals

Classic Legends has introduced the updated Jawa 42 for 2024, with prices starting at Rs. 1.73 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi). The new model is Rs. 16,000 more affordable than before, thanks to the introduction of a lower-priced base variant. This move is likely aimed at broadening the appeal of the popular motorcycle by offering more accessible pricing options.

Updated Engine and Mechanical Enhancements

One of the key highlights of the 2024 Jawa 42 is its updated engine. Drawing from the experience gained with the Jawa 350 and Yezdi Adventure, Classic Legends has reworked the 42’s engine to improve performance and rider comfort. The 294cc liquid-cooled motor now delivers 27.32 HP and 26.84 Nm of torque. The motorcycle is also equipped with a slip and assist clutch, which, combined with gear-based throttle mapping, promises smoother gear shifts.

To further enhance the riding experience, the company has added a redesigned balancer weight and a new hub-type balancer gear to reduce vibrations. Additionally, the rear shock mounting points have been adjusted, and a new, more comfortable seat has been introduced.

Variants and Pricing

The Jawa 42 is available in several variants, offering different levels of equipment and features. The base variant, priced at Rs. 1.73 lakhs, comes with spoked wheels, single-channel ABS, and an analogue LCD setup. For those seeking more advanced features, the top variant is priced at Rs. 1.98 lakhs and includes spoked wheels with dual-channel ABS, alloy wheels with dual-channel ABS and a fully digital LCD unit.

Styling and Colour Options

In addition to the mechanical updates, the 2024 Jawa 42 has received subtle styling tweaks. The company has also expanded the colour palette, with six new colours now available, allowing customers to choose a finish that best suits their taste.
