2024 Hyundai Creta facelift spotted with heavy camouflage
2024 Hyundai Creta spotted testing in India. The facelifted model is in its initial stages of testing, wearing heavy camouflage. The new version will get substantial changes on the exterior and interior.
Hyundai hasn’t update the current generation of Creta since it launched in 2020. The have introduced a facelift with Tucson inspired styling in some international markets but that model has not been launched in India.
Hyundai is developing this comprehensive facelift that will follow the latest design language of the family. It will be styled based on the new design philosophy that we have seen on the Exter and the recently revealed Hyundai Santa Fe for the global markets.
It will get the H-shaped tail lights, which you can notice here to some extent on this test mule. It will also gets some H-shaped LED DRLs up front. It will get a completely new face with large grille, new headlights and redesigned bumper. Even the tailgate will be redesigned to give it a fresh look and accommodate the new tail light design.
The side profile will look more or less the same but there will be new diamond cut alloy wheel design on offer. Hyundai won’t limit the update to changing the soft parts but there will be some sheet metal changes to give it a new look.
We managed to have a look at the interior, a short glance but couldn’t figure out many changes as the dashboard is completely covered. The steering wheel looks similar to the current version on sale with paddle shifters. However, this might not be the final design, since this is a prototype.
You can expect a new high resolution digital cluster with Alcazar-like features including lane cameras. Hyundai will be offering new touchscreen infotainment system with the latest UI and some more features like you have seen on the Kia Seltos including the ADAS tech.
Engine options are expected to remain unchanged. The facelifted Hyundai Creta will continue to be powered by a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol, 1.5-litre turbo petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engine options with manual, iMT, IVT, AT and DCT gearbox options, depending on variant to variant.
Hyundai is expected to launch the Creta facelift in the first half of 2024. It will compete with the Kia Seltos, Maruti Grand Vitara, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, Honda Elevate, Skoda Kushaq, Volkswagen Taigun, MG Astor and the likes.
