2024 Hyundai Alcazar launch soon, to get Creta inspired design language
Hyundai is set to introduce Alcazar facelift, hot on the heels of updating the Creta. This refresh is anticipated to hit the market by May or June, marking the third Hyundai SUV launch for the year following the impending release of the Creta N Line next month.
The visual changes will be inspired by the latest update of the Creta following the new design direction of the carmaker. It will get a similar looking grille with distinct design elements, new LED headlights with redesigned DRLs, new bumpers, new alloy wheel design and upright bonnet for an accentuated SUV look. We can expect some new colour options as well.
Internally, the Alcazar facelift is expected to inherit the refreshed dashboard design from the latest iteration of the Creta. Features such as twin 10.25-inch screens, ADAS, dual-zone climate control, panoramic sunroof and ventilated seats are expected to be carried over from the Creta. While the cabin space and seating configuration remain unchanged, subtle alterations to upholstery and interior shades may be implemented to infuse a sense of novelty.
In terms of performance, the Alcazar facelift is unlikely to undergo any powertrain modifications. It is expected to retain the 160 HP, 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine and the 115 HP, 1.5-litre diesel engine from the current Creta. The existing manual and automatic gearbox options are also expected to persist.
With regards to pricing, a marginal increase is anticipated for select variants of the Alcazar facelift. Further details are expected to emerge closer to the launch date. It will compete with the Tata Safari, MG Hector Plus and Mahindra XUV700.
