New generation Honda Amaze to launch in 2024
Honda is preparing to launch the new generation Amaze in 2024. The compact sedan will be based on the updated version of the current platform.
The current generation Honda Amaze is on sale since the last 5 years. It has got a mid-life update in 2021 with mild cosmetic tweaks and new features.
The new gen model is expected to come with a redesigned exterior and interior. The upcoming model will follow Honda’s new design language and might share some design elements from the new gen City.
The interior is likely to get a redesigned dashboard with a larger touchscreen infotainment system offering all the latest features like wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto along with 360 degree camera, higher resolution display, etc.
There will be almost no changes in the dimensions as the compact sedan will continue to be under 4-metres long. You can expect the cabin to be re-engineered for more space and boot space.
In terms of engine options, the Japanese carmaker is expected to continue with the same 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine. It produces 90 BHP and 110 Nm of torque. Available with CVT auto and 5-speed manual gearbox options.
There will be no diesel engine on offer as Honda plans to stop the production of diesel powered cars completely ahead of the RDE norms coming in April 2023.
The Amaze will continue to rival the Maruti Dzire, Hyundai Aura, Tata Tigor and the likes. Out of these, Maruti Dzire will get a new generation model too in 2024. So it’ll be a tough fight.
