Hero Xtreme 160R 4V Gets Slew Of Updates For The 2024 Model Year
Prices starting at ₹ 1,38,500/- the Hero Xtreme 160R 4V has been updated with segment first features like Panic Brake Alert & Drag Timer. The Xtreme 160R with the new design scheme was first launched in the year 2020, right after the first covid lockdown. While the last update with the 4V variant was introduced in the first half of 2023.
For the year 2024, Hero MotoCorp has introduced new colours for the Xtreme 160R 4V. The Kevlar Brown colour demands Rs. 1000/- extra over the existing two colours, Neon Shooting Star and Matte State Black.
With an aim for added safety, Panic Brake Alert has been added to the motorcycle as well. This system will indicate through the taillights that the motorcycle has gone through rapid braking and will last for about 2.5 seconds. In addition to this, the Hero Xtreme 160R 4V also gets a new design for the taillights as well.
Dual-channel ABS which was not available earlier has been added as a standard equipment for the Hero Xtreme 160R 4V. The braking feedback needed improvement according to our previous test, with the addition of dual-channel ABS it should improve the overall response.
As the 4V was launched, it was called the dragster with the fastest possible timing for 0-60 km/hr run and claiming to have the fastest stock 160cc motorcycle timing for a 400 meter drag race. Now as an addition, the meter now has multiple timers, first is for a 0-60 km/hr timer and d2 is now added, a timer for 0-402 meters drag.
The cluster still continues to be a negative LCD unit, while it has been updated to be better for brighter daylight visibility and the placement of information is much better. Company claims to be 300% more brighter than before.
The rear seat with the design aspect was a little too thick and it has been addressed with a flatter seat profile for better pillion accessibility and comfort. Making the seat lower as well as a bit wider will definitely add more pillion comfort.
Mechanically the motorcycle still remains the same while Hero has made a definite differentiation. The 4V variant will only be available with the Pro spec variant of the motorcycle that comes equipped with 37 mm KYB USD forks.
