2024 Bajaj Pulsar NS160 to get new features and visual tweaks soon
Bajaj Auto is gearing up to refresh its popular Pulsar NS160, with a prototype of the updated model recently spotted undergoing testing in India. The spy images reveal substantial changes, hinting at a new instrument cluster, updated switchgear and potentially a new headlamp.
One of the notable upgrades in the upcoming Pulsar NS160 is the introduction of a new instrument cluster. Spy shots suggest the possibility of a colour TFT unit, reminiscent of the display found on the recently launched Bajaj Chetak Premium. This new instrument cluster is likely to offer a comprehensive display of bike related information.
Accompanying the revamped instrument cluster, the left-hand side switchgear is also set to receive an update. Spy pictures indicate the inclusion of a multi-function button, likely designed to control various features displayed on the TFT unit. This addition aligns with the industry trend of incorporating intuitive controls for rider convenience.
While the overall silhouette of the Pulsar NS160 is expected to remain largely unchanged, the 2024 model might showcase a new headlamp design to make it look fresh with this update.
The Pulsar NS160 will retain its 160.3cc single-cylinder engine producing 17.2 PS and 14.6 Nm of torque, paired with a 5-speed gearbox.
With these anticipated updates, it’s expected that the new Pulsar NS160 will be priced slightly higher than its predecessor. We can expect a price increase ranging from Rs. 5000/- to Rs. 10,000/-. Once launched, the updated model will compete against the TVS Apache RTR 160 4V, Hero Xtreme 160R 4V and the Yamaha FZS FI.
