The alloys wheels of the fourth generation 2023 Suzuki Swift looks inspired from the second generation model
Out of nowhere, the fourth generation 2023 Suzuki Swift has been spied testing fully camouflaged abroad. From the first looks, we can make out that it’s, indeed, the household Swift with a design language we are so used to.
But what have been given the biggest change are the dimensions. The hatchback looks so big in size now and feels like a slow slung compact SUV. Of late many premium hatchback manufacturers like Volkswagen have made their models quite big.
We believe that this next generation Swift will definitively measure more than 4 metres in length and won’t be able to enjoy the sub-4 metre tax benefits in India. The reasons for the bigger dimensions could be to increase the space inside and to make the car structurally more rigid.
Interestingly, the Matte Black alloy wheels of the test mule somewhat resemble the second Swift that was sold in India earlier albeit with some minor tweaks. The level of rear hunch is minimal while there’s also a roof mounted spoiler.
There is a new trapezoidal bottom grille at the front while reflectors are embedded on the bumper at the rear. The shape of the headlight looks, again, similar to the second generation model.
The wheels looks like 17-inchers with broad 215 section low profile tyres. Other than these, nothing much can be said to differentiate the design from the outgoing Swift. Suzuki has just retained the no-nonsense nature of the car.
The hatchback is expected to be unveiled next year globally while India launch might take place sometime in 2024 as the 2025 model. While it will get turbo mills abroad, here, Maruti Suzuki might plonk the K15C owing to the car getting bigger.
