2023 MG Hector spotted without any camouflage
2023 MG Hector facelift has been spotted undisguised, revealing a lot of new details. The carmaker has been teasing the SUV since quite a while in India.
The facelifted model is scheduled to hit the showrooms by January 2023 in the Indian market. Meanwhile a clean uncamouflaged version of the SUV has been spotted recently.
The design details are clearly visible in these spy shots. The front profile is dominated by this huge grille that extends from the bonnet to the lower-half of the bumper and gets shiny chrome finished diamond treatment.
The redesigned bumper integrates a new set of headlights. The side profile looks exactly the same as the outgoing model, including the same design of alloy wheels, which is quite disappointing. MG Motor should have offered at least a different design for the alloys to differentiate it with the pre-facelift model.
The rear profile too looks very similar as it gets minor styling tweaks. There is a new chrome lining under the tail lights. The Hector badging is now bold and loud sitting in the centre of the tailgate. The rear bumper gets some styling tweaks with fake exhausts tips on the black part while the ugly tailpipe is visible below the bumper.
MG will offer a huge 14-inch portrait touchscreen infotainment system with the facelift. It will get a new dashboard design along with new features including digital instrument cluster, ADAS, etc.
It will continue to be offered with the same engine options – 2.0-litre diesel, 1.5-litre turbo petrol and 1.5-litre mild-hybrid petrol.
Launch is expected to take place on 5th January in India. Pricing will be more or less the same. It will compete with the Tata Harrier, Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos and the likes.
