The recently spied interior of the 2023 Mercedes GLC looks very similar to the new C-Class’ insides
The interior of the 2023 Mercedes GLC has recently been spied and, surprise surprise, it looks like the new C-Class’ cabin.
There is a new meaty multifunctional steering wheel behind which a fully digital instrument display, measuring 12.3 inches across, is present.
The other prominent piece of equipment on the dashboard is the large infotainment touchscreen. In the new C-Class, the touchscreen is 11.9 inches in size and supports the latest MBUX system. The same unit seems to have been carried forward to the 2023 GLC.
Not much else is visible in the recently spied 2023 Mercedes GLC interior as the German brand has covered the cabin, including the door panels, using black cloth.
On the outside, the GLC will have a similar silhouette to the current model, but will look fresh by adopting Mercedes’ latest design language. The luxury SUV seems to have grown a bit when compared with its predecessor.
Based on the same Modular Rear Architecture as the new C-Class, the 2023 GLC will likely share the luxury sedan’s engines which include a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol, 2.0-litre turbo-petrol PHEV, and diesel options.
All engines would come teamed to a 9-speed automatic transmission and will be complemented by an integrated starter-generator (ISG) that provides temporary power boost. Even high-performance models will be 4-cylinder petrol hybrids.
The next-generation Mercedes GLC should makes its first official appearance in 2022 before going in sale in Europe by 2023. There will also be a redesigned GLC Coupe on offer as well.
Of course, the new generation GLC luxury crossover will also be sold in the Indian market in due course of time.
