2023 Hyundai Verna revealed, looks inspired by its elder sibling Elantra
2023 Hyundai Verna revealed in official sketches. The sixth generation Verna is all set to make its global debut in India on 21st March.
The carmaker had opened bookings for the new generation model a few days back. They have now revealed the sketch with a clearly detailed exterior design of the car.
The new sedan looks quite sleek and sharp compared to the outgoing model There is a more mature stance as well that makes it look almost like a D-segment sedan.
The front profile gets a sharp strip of LED DRL which is accompanied by the main headlights below integrated in the bumper. The huge grille dominates the front styling of the new Verna.
While the wheels look exaggerated, there is a new premium looking diamond cut alloy wheel design. There are some sharp cuts and creases inspired by the new Elantra on the side profile. The C-pillar gets a unique shiny styling element.
Notice the smooth sloping roofline that merges with the boot, more like a coupe design. The tail lights too get a sharp chiseled design.
Interior of the car hasn’t been revealed yet but we believe it’ll get more premium bits and a new list of features on offer.
Hyundai has confirmed the engine options that’ll be offered with the new car. It will come with a new 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine that will be available with a 6-speed manual and 7-speed DCT. The other engine is a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol that will come with 6-speed manual and IVT automatic transmission options. There is no diesel engine on offer.
It will compete with the Honda City, Volkswagen Virtus, Skoda Slavia and the likes.
