2023 Hyundai Venue launch slated for late June, to get subtle changes inside out
Hyundai is all set to launch the 2023 Venue facelift in late June this year. Select dealerships have also opened unofficial bookings for the compact SUV.
As per dealer sources, only select variants of the existing Venue are currently on sale as the bookings for the DCT and iMT variants are already on hold. Online bookings have also been stopped for the compact SUV.
The upcoming Venue facelift will get a number of updates on the outside. For starters, the front grille has been redesigned. The chain like overlapping checked design has been replaced with a piano black unit.
The bumpers might be changed too. From the pictures of the test mule, we think they sport less busy styling. The bottom grille gets the simple checked design from the existing model though.
The split headlamp setup will be retained from the existing SUV. The units get the same projectors in circular housings. The alloy wheels have been redesigned as they now sport a dual-tone spoke design as against the L-shaped design of the existing model.
There could be subtle changes on the inside. The seats and upholstery might be redesigned with new colours. There could be a bigger touch-screen infotainment system probably borrowing the 10.25-inch screen from the Sonet.
Bose sound system, front parking sensors, ventilated front seats, wireless charging, and 360 degree camera might make their way. The existing Venue already gets features such as electric sunroof, air purifier, connected tech, TPMS, and 6 airbags among many others.
The upcoming Venue might sport the same powertrains as the existing car but there could also be the introduction of Kia Sonet’s 115 PS 1.5-litre diesel engine that gets a 6-speed torque converter autobox. The ex-showroom prices could start from Rs. 7 lakhs onwards.
When launched, the facelifted Venue will land on the heavily-crowded compact SUV segment that has best sellers like Tata Nexon and Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza.
