Hyundai has launched the 2023 Alcazar in India and bookings for the vehicle are now open. The Alcazar’s 2.0 NA petrol engine has been discontinued and now it comes powered by a new 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine making 160 PS and 253 Nm. This engine is offered with a 6-speed MT or 7-speed DCT and it complies with the new RDE norms and is E20 compliant.
Other than this, the diesel engine has been updated and complies with the new norms as well. The oil-burner delivers 116 PS and 250 Nm and it is offered with a 6-speed MT or AT. Hyundai has also revised the design of the grille on the updated Alcazar.
On the safety front, every variant of the Alcazar now gets 6 airbags which is a step in the right direction. The vehicle also gets new puddle lamps that project the Alcazar emblem. The vehicle also gets an idle stop-go feature as standard fitment now.
