2023 Honda CR-V Spotted For The First Time

The grille gets a new design and looks much bigger

2023 Honda CR-V spotted testing with heavy camouflage for the first time. The Japanese carmaker recently updated the CR-V with a facelift in the international market. The new sixth generation model is still a while away but the testing has begun.

The next generation model looks substantially different than the current generation CR-V. There’s a sleek front profile with sharp headlight units. The front grille is huge in size, usually the CR-V gets a subtle strip of chrome/black band on its nose.

Looking at the side profile of 2023 Honda CR-V prototype spotted on test, the SUV seems to be much longer. The wheelbase has increased which will result in a roomier cabin and a better 3-row seating space. Even the hood looks very long, giving it a grown-up appearance.

It’s the rear profile that will remind you of the CR-V thanks the shape of the tail lights. As seen on the new Honda HR-V, the latest design direction of Honda looks more European and that’s a good thing!

The new generation model will get HEV and PHEV powertrain options as the carmaker is focusing on electrification and hybrid tech. Expected to be launched in 2023 in the international market.
